How much does it cost?

Our quotations are based on a word count, so you will know how much you will have to pay. Please note that we have a minimum fee policy, which is £10.

Please note that we charge for sample edits, but if you then decide to use our proofreading/copyediting service, that fee will be taken off the final price.

We might ask you to pay a deposit, of which amount will be deducted from the final invoice, which we will send you once the proofreading project has been completed. If you wish to, you may spread the costs for your own budgeting needs by paying in instalments.

How can I pay?

At the moment, we only accept UK local bank transfer, PayPal, Wise (formerly known as TransferWise) or overseas bank remittance.

Should I use British or American spelling in my manuscript?

It’s up to you. We can edit in accordance with your own style guide and your presonal preferences. You are also welcome to provide us with a brief and we will help you create a style guide for your future use.

If you don’t have any particular preference, we will then adhere to British English spelling (e.g., colour instead of color) and use the “-is-” infix (e.g., organisation rather than organization).

Our editors are experienced in making sound editorial decisions with reference to a variety of style guides, as well as raising appropriate and detailed queries with authors and project managers.
